X-ray donations climb to $20,000

The West Carleton Health Access Foundation’s (WCHAF) campaign to raise funds for new X-ray equipment is well underway with donations and pledges of about $20,000.

Board members are delighted with the quick response following the announcement of the foundation receiving charitable status.  Receipts for donations in 2010 are on their way

The Rural Root Theatre group is showing its support for the campaign by donating all proceeds from the opening night of its spring production All for Your Delight, a musical vaudeville cabaret set in old England.  The production runs from May 11 to 14 at the Constance Bay Community Centre.

And books, books, and more books are being brought to the West Carleton Family Medical Centre to be picked up by patients who kindly leave a donation towards the campaign.

It’s great to see the community getting behind this important cause.  Anyone wanting to donate can send a cheque to the West Carleton Health Access Foundation at P.O. Box 176, Carp, Ontario.
