Summary
A casting director has one day to find an actor to fill the role of a lawyer in a crime procedural. But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes stage thespians who cannot tone it down for the screen, performers completely unable to keep themselves in frame, and an actor who seems to believe this is a toothpaste commercial. “Bad Auditions …on Camera” is Rural Root’s second show presented in the online format. As with “Couples”, our first online show, this show is streamed live, and is not pre-recorded. Each show in the 4 day run is live and therefore unique just like live theatre performances.
The show is streamed via the popular Zoom video conferencing system. It is presented using the “webinar” format, where you see the actors only, and not any of the audience members. You can connect to the show using your web browser, or via the Zoom application if you have it installed. It will work on all devices supported by Zoom which includes laptops, tablets, phones and TVs. In order to receive the link to join the webinar, you must register and the link will be sent to you. At registration, you will also be given the option to add the show date/time to your calendar.
